Xpdtion Red Panda: Singalila
Overview
Track red pandas across three mornings in Singalila National Park, walk the India-Nepal border, explore one of the richest Himalayan birding regions, and experience the ridge all the way to Sandakphu. The Xpdtion combines wildlife tracking, birding, photography, local community experiences, mountain food, a night safari, and Himalayan views of the Sleeping Buddha, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu. No prior trekking experience is required.

Xpdtion Schedule
Day 1 | The Gateway: Siliguri → Manebhanjang
Meet in Siliguri and drive to Manebhanjang. Settle in over lunch, followed by a gentle nature walk along the forest edge. Evening welcome activity and trip briefing, followed by stargazing if skies permit.
Day 2 | The Bamboo: Manebhanjang → Tumling
Early-morning red panda tracking. After breakfast, climb to Tumling with a birding and nature workshop. Meet local communities involved in homestays, guiding and conservation, followed by a cooking workshop and mountain dinner.
Day 3 | The Ridge: Singalila National Park
Second red panda tracking morning deeper inside the national park. Follow with a full birding workshop covering Himalayan species. Late-afternoon ridge hike, followed by dinner and rest.
Day 4 | The Sleeping Buddha: Sandakphu
Final red panda tracking morning. After breakfast, head to Sandakphu at 3,636 m. On a clear day, view Kanchenjunga, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu. Evening group activity, dinner and night safari along the ridge road.
Day 5 | Farewell: Sandakphu → Siliguri
Final morning hike along the ridge, followed by breakfast and a closing circle with the group. Begin the descent back to Siliguri through the ridge, bamboo forests, tea estates and plains.
